Groniger Filmdagen
Marking the Playing Field
The Groninger Filmdagen is a showcase film festival featuring the work of filmmakers from Groningen. At the same time, the accompanying symposium focuses on trends and innovations within the sector.
The event will be held for the first time in 2025, in collaboration with the Beeldcoalitie. The exact dates of the event are October 3, 4, and 5, 2025.
The Groninger Filmdagen is intended as a place to meet, to enjoy the films made by Groningen-based creators, and to develop and strengthen the local film sector.
Filmmakers from Groningen are given a broad platform to present their work and engage in conversation with their audience and each other.
Visitors discover the latest trends and innovations in the sector, while workshops contribute to the professional development of filmmakers.
The playing field of the film and audiovisual sector in Groningen is largely undefined. With this first edition of the Groninger Filmdagen, we aim to place tangible markers within that field and bring our vision for the future into practice.
