Round Table Training
Groningen has various courses that are in one way or another concerned with film. These courses are located at MBO, HBO and WO. We have found that there is little structured interaction between the courses. This will now change in 2024 with the formation of the Beeldcoalitie. The FVG has taken the initiative to bring the courses into contact with each other so that the chain of film courses can be strengthened. We will continue these meetings.
We see great added value in linking the different types of film education of the
education. Everyone can identify with the 'dream image' of a kind of Film Academy in the
North. We are currently thinking of a solid film education with a broad basis (all-round filmmaker), with specialist outflows at a high level. We are committed to cultivating talent.

Topics discussed: Content and options per course, inventory of lack of knowledge in practice, pain points and needs of current students (survey results), synergy, conclusions, follow-up question.
Conclusion: There is a rich palette of good film education available in Groningen, spread across different forms and types of education. At the same time, we see a growing regional film culture with many possibilities, and increasing local, regional and national attention and financing. = momentum is present.

Research into the educational needs of young people.
The conclusion is that there is a lot of interest in a targeted follow-up education in film; that due to the lack of such an education in Groningen, young people leave.
