Fair Practice Code

The Fair Practice Code is the code of conduct for doing business and working in the arts, culture, and creative industries.

The Fair Practice Code serves as a moral compass for everyone working in or with the sector.

The five values of the code are: solidarity, diversity, trust, sustainability, and transparency.

The code is based on three principles: Fair Pay, Fair Share, Fair Chain.

Fair Pay

Principle 1

FVG is currently preparing a draft "Apply and Explain" document, which will be adopted during the spring General Members' Meeting (ALV) in 2025.

Sustainable working relationships are only possible with fair payment. Equal pay for equal work is a prerequisite for solidarity. Salaries and fees must be determined in a way that is clear and transparent.

Fair Share

Principle 2

Fair Share means that all parties involved—from the creator to the producer, and from the programmer to the audience—receive a fair distribution of revenues and responsibilities.

Fair Chain

Principle 3

Fair Chain concerns the creation of a sustainable and transparent chain of production, distribution, and presentation.
